Is Ian McKellen walking on Gielguld's steps?

We saw this movie before: the characteristic kind and sometimes "too British" (whatsoever Hollywood call it) supporting role that "stoles" the scene and int the end is the best thing movie. Superb British actors sold their talent to crap movies and give up the position they deserved... to play "funny Brit uncle" to illiterate audiences... a shame...
