Need some information fast please?

I have an emachines d620 laptop and last week I noticed that on the backside of the screen near the hinge where the screen opens and closes is a small crack but I didn't think anything of it but now the crack has gotten bigger and is now open so when the screen is closed I can see inside the crack the laptop still works fine but I'm worried that it will eventually break and I can't afford a replacement screen any advice will be much appreciated thank you
