Am I wrong for refusing to wear black hosiery in my uncle's wedding?

i was a brides maid to my dads wedding and i wore a black dress,, i suppose we're totally different because i thought it looked amazing,, but do you really want to ruin her big day just because of a dress and a bit of make up..... its one day,, you can go back to normal for the other 364 days of the year,,, its not as if she's telling you to change for life. so stop acting like a little kid and get on with it (sorry if i offend you)
